A world of fairies, goblins, magic and enchantment comes to life with West Australian Ballet’s Beauty & the Beast with West Australian Symphony Orchestra. In a land far away, in a strange forest, an ugly creature lived in misery in a cold, empty castle. He had once been a handsome prince but after a curse from an evil fairy, he hid from the world, for who could ever love a hideous animal … On the outskirts of the forest, a beautiful girl lived with her beloved father and her vain and selfish sisters. Travelling through the forest one day, Beauty is lured by the image of a beautiful rose, and stumbles upon the castle and its frightening owner. WA Ballet’s Beauty & the Beast is on at His Majesty’s Theatre from May 13 to 28.
