To enter, participants must purchase a 750mL bottle of Santa Margherita wine from any Dan Murphy's store in Australia (excluding NT) or online at danmurphys.com.au during the promotional period. They must then visit smitalypromo.com.au, complete the online entry form with their personal details, the last four digits of the product barcode, and the receipt number for the qualifying transaction. Proof of purchase, including the original receipt and product barcode, must be retained.

The prize is a trip to Italy for the winner and a friend, including return economy class airfares from the winner's nearest Australian capital city to Venice, Italy, return private transfers from the airport to the accommodation, four nights of 4-star accommodation with daily breakfast in Venice, a private visit to San Francesco della Vigna convent and Santa Margherita vineyard, a wine tasting experience and tour at Santa Margherita winery, three complimentary dinners at a restaurant in Venice, and AUD $2,000 spending money. The total value of the prize is up to AUD $20,000.
