Terms and Conditions of Entry
Information on how to enter the Promotion forms part of these terms and conditions of entry.
Participation in this Promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions of entry.
Entry is open to any person residing in Australia aged 18 years and over.
Employee's, immediate family members of employees, employees of any company or agency associated with the Promoter are ineligible to enter.
To earn and redeem Velocity Points you must be a Velocity member. Velocity membership and Points earn and redemption are subject to the Member Terms and Conditions, as amended from time to time.
Each entrant will receive one (1) entry in the minor draw and one (1) entry in the major draw when they complete their entry form online. Each entrant will also receive one (1) bonus entry to the major draw when they click the confirmation link in their welcome email. Each entrant will also receive one (1) bonus entry if they share the Promotion via a unique link given to them, and at least one (1) person signs up using that unique link. Each entrant shall receive a maximum of one (1) entry into the minor draw and three (3) entries into the major draw. This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Twitter, or Google +
The Promotion commences at 12:01am AEST on 06/10/2016 and entries close on 11:59pm AEDT on 08/06/2017 (“Promotion Period”)
All entries received during the applicable Draw Period will be entered into draws as outlined below. All draws will be made from eligible entries collected from 12.01am on the Draw Period Start Date to 11.59pm on the Draw Period End Date.

To enter, eligible entrants must subscribe to the Credit Card Compare email newsletter during the Promotion Period. Existing subscribers are also eligible to enter. Eligible entrants must enter via www.creditcardcompare.com.au/1-million-points.php
Entrants can only enter in their own name and use their own email address. The Promoter reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of identity, and/or proof of entry validity. Proof of identification and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. The Promoter reserves the right to validate and check the authenticity of any prize claim or entry before awarding a prize.
An entry that is incomplete, indecipherable, illegible or non-compliant with these terms and conditions is invalid and will not be accepted or considered.
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions, or has engaged in any unlawful or improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion.
The Promoter, its associated agencies and companies (and their respective officers, employees and agents) exclude all liability (including negligence) except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, for any direct, indirect or consequential injury, loss and/or damage arising in any way in connection with this Promotion or any prize/s. This includes, but is not limited to:
technical malfunctions, delays or failures, including those resulting from accessing any materials related to this promotion and any incorrect or inaccurate or incomplete information communicated in the course of, or in connection with, this Promotion as a result of any technical malfunctions, delays or failures;
theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (iii) lost or damaged entries, prize claims or prizes; and
acceptance and/or use of any prize (including but not limited to any component of a Winner’s trip).
Nothing in these terms and conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Promotion and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act 2001 (Cth) in Australia, or similar consumer protection laws in the State and Territories of Australia (Non-Excludable Guarantees).
The Promoter collects the entrants’ personal information to assist it in promoting their website, and to process the competition entries. By entering the competition, unless otherwise advised, each entrant also expressly consents to the Promoter contacting an entrant to let the entrant know about goods, services or promotions which the Promoter considers may be of interest to the entrant by email, SMS, or MMS.
Entrants’ personal information may also be disclosed to State Lottery agencies and the winners’ names published as required under the relevant lottery legislation. All personal details of the entrant will be stored at the offices of the Promoter. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to that office.
The Promoter may disclose your personal information to the promoters and prize suppliers including Velocity Frequent Flyer. The Promoter may also disclose your personal information to and/or collect your personal information from its related companies and third parties including Velocity Frequent Flyer who provide (or help the Promoter provide) products and services, some of whom may be located overseas.
Prize winners are advised that tax implications may arise from their prize winning and they should seek independent financial advice prior to the acceptance of the prize.
It is a condition of entry into the Promotion that the winner consents to the publication of their name and city of origin in any advertisements or articles relating to the Promotion or the Prize and participates in any media releases, which may include professional photographs and/or videos of the winner by the Promoter.
The Promoter's decision is final and no other correspondence will be entered into.
No responsibility will be taken for entries lost, delayed or not completed properly.
The random prize draw will take place at 2pm on on the dates listed in point 7 at 33 Hay St PORT MACQUARIE NSW 2444.
The total prize pool of 1,000,000 Velocity Frequent Flyer Points will be shared between 8 winners.
The first eligible entry drawn in the Major Prize Draw will receive 500,000 Velocity Frequent Flyer Points (valued at $19,946) and a free Tailored Points Strategy consultation with iFlyFlat.com.au (valued at $1,899 as per 01-Jul-2016).
The second eligible entry drawn in the Major Prize Draw will receive 250,000 Velocity Frequent Flyer Points (valued at $9,973).
The third eligible entry drawn in the Major Prize Draw will receive 100,000 Velocity Frequent Flyer Points (valued at $3,989).
The first eligible entry drawn in each Minor Prize Draw will receive 30,000 Velocity Frequent Flyer Points (valued at $1,196 each).
The prize value is based on a sample of the Velocity Points options that could be obtained by redeeming the prize through the Velocity Frequent Flyer program at the time of this Promotion (as more fully defined in the terms and conditions of the Velocity Frequent Flyer program). The estimate of value is provided for the purposes of licensing this Promotion only – the value of the Velocity Points will vary depending on how they are redeemed by the winner through the Velocity Frequent Flyer program. The points will be credited to your accounts within 21 days of the Winner Announced date. Use of points is subject to the Velocity Members Terms and Conditions, which are located on the Velocity Frequent Flyer website at: https://www.velocityfrequentflyer.com/content/TermsConditions/
The winners must have a Velocity account in order for points to be transferred to them. If the winners do not have a Velocity account they will need to create an account in order to be eligible to receive their prize.
All winners should be aware that the number of Reward flight seats available is limited and availability depends on the flight date, season and destination and some flights may not have any Reward seats available. The winner will be responsible for any additional taxes, fees and carrier charges of Reward travel or accommodation booked by redeeming their Prize. Taxes, fees and carrier charges vary depending on departure points, routes, exchange rates and dates of travel and are subject to change without notice.
Prizes are not redeemable for cash and are not transferable.
Total Prize pool value is $41,787.
Winner will be notified by phone/email within two (2) business days of the draw. The winner will have their details published on www.creditcardcompare.com.au and www.facebook.com/creditcardcompare on the dates listed in point 7.
If there are any unclaimed or un-awarded prizes a prize draw will be conducted on on the dates listed in point 7 at the same time and place as the original draw. If a winner is drawn they will be contacted by phone/email within two (2) business days and will have their name published on www.creditcardcompare.com.au and www.facebook.com/creditcardcompare on the dates listed in point 8.
