By entering The Block Shop ‘Win a Signed Copy of Shaynna’s Book Competition’, (the “Promotion”) the entrant agrees to the following terms and conditions:
1. Information on how to enter forms part of the terms and conditions of entry. Entry into the Promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions;
2. The promoter is The Block Shop Pty Limited ABN 55 161 743 237 (“Promoter”);
3. ELIGIBILITY: Entry is open to Australian residents only. Entrants under the age of 18 years must get permission from their parent or guardian to enter prior to entering;
4. Employees and immediate families of the Promoter and suppliers, providers and agencies associated with the Promotion are ineligible to enter;
5. The Promotion commences Friday, 10th April 2015 at 10:00am (AEST) and concludes Thursday 16th April, 2015 at 5.00pm (AEST);
6. The winners will be drawn at 10.00am on Friday 17th April 2015;
7. HOW TO ENTER:
a. Step 1: Establish own individual Facebook account; and
b. Step 2: Like The Block Shop on Facebook and complete the online entry form.
8. This is a game of chance and the winners will be drawn randomly from all entries received. The judge’s decision is final and no negotiation or correspondence will be entered into;
9. Any form of automated entry using any devices or software is invalid;
10. Only entries via Facebook will be accepted;
11. Entrants may enter once per email address and will receive a bonus entry for every friend that enters;
12. The winners will be notified via email and/or Facebook, with their names published on Facebook and the Promoter’s website and other social media accounts at its discretion;
13. Entrants can only enter in their own name. The Promoter, reserves the right to request proof of residency at the stated address and identification for verification (to the Promoter's satisfaction in its discretion) before issuing the prize. Incomplete or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid. Entries containing and/or depicting illegal, sexually explicit or morally or racially offensive content will be ineligible to win. The Promoter's decision to disqualify an entry is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter is not under any obligation to notify an entrant of an invalid entry. No responsibility will be taken for lost, late or misdirected entries;
14. By entering the Promotion and accepting the terms and conditions, the entrant agrees that the Promoter may use the entrant’s personal details, including email address, for the purpose of conducting the competition, including the use of the entrant’s Facebook page in promotional formats. The entrant’s email address will be added to the Promoter’s database for the purpose of receiving communications about the Promoter’s products. At any time, the entrant may elect to unsubscribe from the Promoter’s communications;
15. By entering the Promotion, the entrant gives the Promoter permission to be contacted via Facebook;
16. The Promoter shall endeavour to contact the winners via their Facebook account within two (2) weeks of the prize draw. In the event that a winner cannot be contacted after one (1) month, an alternate winner/s will be selected and the original winner will forfeit any prize. The winner/s of the unclaimed prize draw will be contacted via Facebook and will be published on the Promoter’s website at its discretion;
17. PRIZE: There will be 5 (five) winners who will each receive 1 (one) x signed copy of the book ‘Design With Colour & Style’ by Shaynna Blaze, valued at $39.99 each.
TOTAL VALUE: $199.95
18. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value and the prize, or any unused portion of the prize, is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash;
19. LIABILITY: If for any reason the Promotion is not capable of running as planned because of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion subject to any written directions under applicable legislation. The Promoter also reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Promotion. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved;
20. The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused by the phone user or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this competition, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of this competition including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or satellite network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries;
21. PRIVACY: All entries and any copyright subsisting in the entries become and remain the property of the Promoter;
22. This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. Eligible persons understand that they are providing their information to the Promoter and not to Facebook. Any questions, comments or complaints about this Competition must be directed to the Promoter and not to Facebook. Participation in this Promotion presumes acceptance of the Facebook terms and conditions found at www.facebook.com; and
23. The laws of Australia apply to this Promotion to the exclusion of any other law. Entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
