PROMOTIONAL PERIOD:
The competition will run from 12:01 PM (AEST) June 15th 2015, and conclude at 11.59PM (AEST) on July 6th 2015 (the “Competition Period” for short).
HOW TO ENTER:
To enter, an entrant must, during the competition period:
a) Answer a series of up to 5 multiple choice questions, available during the competition period, online at www.flysomewherenew.com
b) Supply their basic details (Title, First Name, Last Name & Email Address)
c) Indicate their acceptance via checkbox
Upon completion, users will be assigned one (1) destination from six (6) destinations promoted on the website based on their answers. This assignation will define the destination of travel should the entrant win the competition.
After successfully entering the competition, users will be given the opportunity to share details of their entry via Facebook Share, Twitter Tweet or Direct Email from their personal accounts. If the user chooses to share this content in any combination of ways, a 2nd entry into the competition draw will be entered on their behalf. Only one (1) additional entry can be gained per entrant, regardless of how many times they choose to share their content. Not sharing the content will have no effect, and the entrant’s initial submission will be in no way disadvantaged if they choose to decline this offer.
Only one (1) entry will be accepted per email account. Any user attempting to enter multiple times with the same email address, even if modified with extensions or other means, will only have their first entry included in the draw.
To access the Competition, Participants must have access to the World Wide Web (internet) provided by an Internet Service Provider (“ISP”) through a web enabled mobile handset serviced by a Telecommunications Provider, and must pay any applicable ISP, operator, service and other fees necessary for such access.
Cathay Pacific makes no guarantee that the app will be available to all consumers at all times.
PRIZE:
One (1) winner, drawn from a pool of all eligible entrants, will win 2 Economy Class return tickets to their assigned destination, on Cathay Pacific’s network, valued at a retail price of up to $3,500 AUD (the “Major Prize” for short). Travel to the destination will be from capital departure cities in Australia i.e. Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, or Perth, which will determine the value of the prize offered. If, and only if, the cost of the prize exceeds $3,500 AUD, Cathay Pacific will determine the most suitable alternative within its network in conjunction with the winner at the time of booking, or allow the winner to pay the remaining costs at their own expense. Prizes are non-transferrable, and there is no cash alternative.
The prize is for off-peak travel during 2015 or 2016 (14th January 2015 – 13th December 2015, 14th January 2016 – 13th December 2016) and is awarded up to a retail value of $3,500. Prizes are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-negotiable. No additional points, such as Asia Miles, will be awarded to these promotional fares.
The winner shall submit his/her booking requests through direct communications with Cathay Pacific’s marketing team. All bookings are subject to availability and the organiser retains final discretion as to the route, dates and suitability of the winner’s booking. The prize will be forfeited if no bookings are made by 1 March 2016, and the winner will not be entitled to any payment or compensation from the Organiser if the prize is forfeited or not used in full.
The prize allocation is for air travel only. Any surrounding expenses, including travel to and from the airport, accommodation, visa procurement, transport costs, cost arising due to injury or illness or any other expenses incurred through the trip, shall be the sole responsibility of the winner.
The Winner is responsible for checking with any relevant authorities regarding passport and visa requirements. It is the sole responsibility of the Winner to obtain all requisite travel documentation and visas. The winner is responsible for any travel insurance, medical check-up fees or health certificate insurance fees, transfers, and other related expenses in connection with the Eligible Travel. The winner is strongly advised to take out travel insurance to cover all appropriate risks.
