LawPath Promotion Official Rules

Information on how to enter and prizes form part of the Terms and Conditions of Entry. Entry into this competition deems acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. To the extent of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any other reference to this competition, these Terms and Conditions prevail.

Subject to this clause, entry is open to all residents of Australia between the ages of 18 and 79, as of the date of entry, who have fulfilled the requirements set out below.

To enter the promotion, Users must enter their email address on http://sem.lawpath.com.au/competition and provide an answer to the following question, in 170 characters or less: “what is your business pitch?” (this questions will be sent to the user in a follow-up email upon submission of their email address) between 12:00 am ET 11/12/2014 and 11:59 pm ET 31/01/2015. All requested entry information must be provided. Multiple participants are not permitted to share the same email address. Any attempt by any participant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different email or addresses, accounts, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods will void that participant's entries and that participant may be disqualified. In the event of a dispute as to any entrant, the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the entry will be deemed to be the entrant. The “authorised account holder” is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. The potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder. Entries must be appropriate for viewing by the general public; appropriateness will be determined by the Sponsor. The Sponsor reserves the right to reject any entry for any reason.
4. When to Enter.
This promotion begins at 12:00 am ET on 11/12/2014 and ends at 11:59 pm ET on 31/01/2015 (the “Promotion Period”). Sponsor’s computer is the official time-keeping device for the promotion. All entries must be received during the dates and times specified in the Promotion Period. This is a contest of skill. Odds of winning the promotion depend on the number and quality of eligible entries received during the Promotion Period.

No substitution, assignment or transfer of the prize is permitted, except by the Sponsor, who has the right to substitute a prize with another of comparable or greater value. Winner is responsible for all taxes and fees associated with the receipt and/or use of the prize. The prizes may not be redeemed for cash, in whole or part, exchanged for any other item or transferred to any other person. 6. Conditions of Participation.
By submitting an entry for this promotion, you agree to abide by these rules and any decision the Sponsor makes regarding this promotion, which the Sponsor shall make in its sole discretion. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify and prosecute to the fullest extent permitted by law any participant or winner who, in the Sponsor’s reasonable suspicion, tampers with the Sponsor site, the entry process, intentionally submits more than a single entry, violates these rules, or acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner.
7. Intellectual Property.
Ownership of the pre-existing underlying intellectual property of the entrant remains the property of the entrant subject to the Sponsor’s rights to reprint, display, reproduce, perform, use, and exhibit the entry for the purpose of administering and promoting the promotion and for the Sponsor’s marketing and advertising purposes. By participating in the promotion, each entrant grants to the Sponsor a non-exclusive, worldwide, fully paid, royalty-free, perpetual, transferable license to reprint, display, reproduce, perform, use, and exhibit (including the right to make derivative works of) the entry and materials and information submitted on and in connection with the promotion or use or receipt of the prize for any and all purposes in any medium. Each participating entrant hereby warrants that any entry and other materials and information provided by entrant are original with entrant and do not violate or infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity, moral rights or other intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity, and do not violate any rules or regulations. Entrant agrees that the Sponsor has the right to verify the ownership and originality of all entries and that, upon the Sponsor’s request, entrant must submit a written copy of any release or permission entrant has received from a third party granting entrant the right to use such property. Entrant understands and acknowledges that in the event a submission is selected as a winning entry, and entrant’s ownership, rights and the originality of the entry cannot be verified to the satisfaction of the Sponsor or is in any other way ineligible, the Sponsor may select an alternate winner based on the same judging criteria.

THE SPONSOR MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING ANY PRIZE OR YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE PROMOTION. 10. Further Terms and Conditions
Any entrant found to have used a third party (including online competition entry site) to enter on
their behalf will have all entries invalidated and any claim they have to any prize will be invalidated.
If such an entrant is awarded a prize and then found to have breached this clause, the entrant must
immediately return any prize awarded. The Sponsor has sole discretion to determine if this clause
has been breached by any entrant. The Sponsor reserves the right to request whatever
documentation it deems necessary to confirm if the entrant has breached this clause. An entrant
must provide any requested documentation to the Sponsor upon request.
Any entrant found to be entering incorrect contact details, including incorrect email contact details,
will have all entries invalidated and any claim to any prize will be invalidated. If such an entrant is
awarded a prize and then found to have breached this clause, the entrant must immediately return
any prize awarded. The Sponsor has sole discretion to determine if this clause has been breached
by any entrant. The Sponsor reserves the right to request whatever documentation it deems
necessary to confirm if the entrant has breached this clause. An entrant must provide any
requested documentation to the Sponsor upon request.
If the prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the
prize for a prize of equal or greater value, subject to State and Territory legislation. Cash will not
be awarded as a substitute.
It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of
the prize and prize supplier‟s requirements. Each prize must be taken as stated and no
compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use the prize as stated.
The Sponsor highly recommends a current residential street address be provided when requested
for ease of correspondence and potential prize delivery. The Sponsor makes all reasonable efforts
to deliver prizes to the addresses provided by competition entrants. The Sponsor cannot guarantee
that any prizes returned to the Sponsor due to non-delivery at the provided address will be re-sent
to the prize winner.
The Sponsor reserves the right to request the winner to sign a winner‟s deed of release or any other
relevant forms or agreements that the Sponsor deems necessary, to provide proof of identity, proof
of age, proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address and/or proof of entry validity in
order to claim a prize. Proof of identification, residency, age and entry considered suitable for
verification is at the discretion of the Sponsor. In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable
proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
The Sponsor reserves the right to conduct a redraw in the event that an entrant, claiming to be a
winner, is unable to satisfy these Terms and Conditions or has breached these Terms and
Conditions.
The Sponsor’s decision in relation to any aspect of the competition is subject to State and Territory
legislation but also final and binding on each person who enters. No correspondence will be entered
into. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries. Prizes are subject to
availability, not transferable or exchangeable and, with the exception of cash prizes, cannot be
taken as cash. Prizes will be sent to the winner‟s nominated address as stated in their original entry.
The Sponsor and their associated agencies, and companies associated with this promotion will
take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit.
11. Copyright, Statutory guarantees, Waiver and liability
In participating in the prizes, the winner agrees to participate and co-operate as required in all
editorial activities relating to the Competition, including but not limited to being interviewed, writing blogs posts and photographed. The winner agrees to granting the Sponsor a perpetual and
non-exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide, including online
social networking sites, and the winner will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
Prize-winner is advised that tax implications may arise from their prize winnings and they should
seek independent financial advice prior to acceptance of that prize.
The Sponsor (subject to State and Territory legislation) reserves the right to amend, cancel or
suspend this competition if an event beyond the control of the Sponsor corrupts or affect the
administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition. The Sponsor will
disqualify any individual who has tampered with the entry process or any other aspect of this
competition.
Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant's responsibility and is
dependent on the Internet service provider used.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limit, exclude or modify or purports to limit, exclude or
modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act

10. Further Terms and Conditions
Any entrant found to have used a third party (including online competition entry site) to enter on
their behalf will have all entries invalidated and any claim they have to any prize will be invalidated.
If such an entrant is awarded a prize and then found to have breached this clause, the entrant must
immediately return any prize awarded. The Sponsor has sole discretion to determine if this clause
has been breached by any entrant. The Sponsor reserves the right to request whatever
documentation it deems necessary to confirm if the entrant has breached this clause. An entrant
must provide any requested documentation to the Sponsor upon request.
Any entrant found to be entering incorrect contact details, including incorrect email contact details,
will have all entries invalidated and any claim to any prize will be invalidated. If such an entrant is
awarded a prize and then found to have breached this clause, the entrant must immediately return
any prize awarded. The Sponsor has sole discretion to determine if this clause has been breached
by any entrant. The Sponsor reserves the right to request whatever documentation it deems
necessary to confirm if the entrant has breached this clause. An entrant must provide any
requested documentation to the Sponsor upon request.
If the prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the
prize for a prize of equal or greater value, subject to State and Territory legislation. Cash will not
be awarded as a substitute.
It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of
the prize and prize supplier‟s requirements. Each prize must be taken as stated and no
compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use the prize as stated.
The Sponsor highly recommends a current residential street address be provided when requested
for ease of correspondence and potential prize delivery. The Sponsor makes all reasonable efforts
to deliver prizes to the addresses provided by competition entrants. The Sponsor cannot guarantee
that any prizes returned to the Sponsor due to non-delivery at the provided address will be re-sent
to the prize winner.
The Sponsor reserves the right to request the winner to sign a winner‟s deed of release or any other
relevant forms or agreements that the Sponsor deems necessary, to provide proof of identity, proof
of age, proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address and/or proof of entry validity in
order to claim a prize. Proof of identification, residency, age and entry considered suitable for
verification is at the discretion of the Sponsor. In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable
proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
The Sponsor reserves the right to conduct a redraw in the event that an entrant, claiming to be a
winner, is unable to satisfy these Terms and Conditions or has breached these Terms and
Conditions.
The Sponsor’s decision in relation to any aspect of the competition is subject to State and Territory
legislation but also final and binding on each person who enters. No correspondence will be entered
into. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries. Prizes are subject to
availability, not transferable or exchangeable and, with the exception of cash prizes, cannot be
taken as cash. Prizes will be sent to the winner‟s nominated address as stated in their original entry.
The Sponsor and their associated agencies, and companies associated with this promotion will
take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit.
11. Copyright, Statutory guarantees, Waiver and liability
In participating in the prizes, the winner agrees to participate and co-operate as required in all
editorial activities relating to the Competition, including but not limited to being interviewed, writing blogs posts and photographed. The winner agrees to granting the Sponsor a perpetual and
non-exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide, including online
social networking sites, and the winner will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
Prize-winner is advised that tax implications may arise from their prize winnings and they should
seek independent financial advice prior to acceptance of that prize.
The Sponsor (subject to State and Territory legislation) reserves the right to amend, cancel or
suspend this competition if an event beyond the control of the Sponsor corrupts or affect the
administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition. The Sponsor will
disqualify any individual who has tampered with the entry process or any other aspect of this
competition.
Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant's responsibility and is
dependent on the Internet service provider used.

excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including

any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late,
lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Sponsor) due to any
reason beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated
in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or Entrant; or (f) use of a

(including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits or opportunity),
