1. Information about how to enter and the prizes available form part of the Terms and
Conditions of this competition. Participation in this competition is deemed to be acceptance
of these Terms and Conditions.
2. The competition is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over.
3. The competition commences at 9am AEDST on Friday 27th November 2015 and closes at
11:59pm AEDST on Sun 6th March 2016 ('Promotional Period').
4. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this
promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, exspouse,
de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, stepparent,
grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, stepbrother,
step-sister or 1st cousin.
5. To enter the Competition and to be eligible to win the prize, Entrants must, during the
Promotional Period:
a) access http://www.melbournefoodandwine.com.au website to purchase a
MasterClass ticket, MasterClass Hands On ticket or MasterClass Day Pass;
b) Register their details including, without limitation, name, address and e-mail. Failure
to provide the requested information will render the entry invalid;
c) submit an answer to the question ?Tell us in 25 words or less why you want to visit
South Africa??;
d) comply with these terms and conditions.
6. Tickets purchased to MasterClass, MasterClass Hands On or MasterClass Day Pass through
the Melbourne Food and Wine app are not eligible for entry to the competition.
7. Only one entry per person is permitted.
8. Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.
PRIZE
9. The prize consists of two Qantas Return Economy Class air tickets, including taxes and
charges from any Qantas Australian Port to Johannesburg for 7 nights accommodation
(including breakfast) at SunLux Collection hotels. The winner will spend two nights in:
-Palace of Lost City, Sun City
-The Table Bay, Cape Town
-The Royal Livingstone, Zambia
And one night in:
-The Maslow, Johannesburg
10. Internal flights for 2 people from Johannesburg/Livingstone/Cape Town/Johannesburg are
included.
11. Accommodation at all SunLux Collection hotels includes daily breakfast for 2 people.
12. Total Prize pool value is $10,400. Prize values are correct at time of printing but no
responsibility is accepted for any variation in the value of any prizes. All prize values are in
Australian dollars.
13. Bookings must be made and ticketed by Qantas and are valid on Qantas operated services
only.
14. The prize must be booked and ticketed on or before 30 June 2016, must be flown before 01
June 2017 and is subject to availability at the time of booking. The prize is not valid for travel
during Australian school holidays, Easter, Christmas and New Year periods. Tickets must be
redeemed by emailing jenny.viali@qantas.com.au
15. The winner will not accrue Qantas Frequent Flyer points on the prize travel.
16. Qantas Airways Limited, its related bodies corporate, their officers, employees and agents
will not be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury whatsoever (including but not
limited to direct, indirect and consequential loss) suffered or sustained in connection with
this competition, the promotion of this competition or the use of any prize, except for any
liability which cannot be excluded by law.
17. Qantas will not be liable for any taxation, including FBT that may be levied as a result of
winning.
18. Transport to and from the hotel/s, transfers, spending money, activities, additional meals,
travel taxes, travel insurance, passports, visas, vaccinations, transfers, items of a personal
nature, in-room charges and all other ancillary costs, as well as obtaining any of these, are
the responsibility of the winner and are not included.
19. In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency, disaster or any other circumstance
beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right to either provide an
alternative travel destination to the same value as the original prize or, subject to any
applicable laws or written directions made under applicable legislation, to cancel, terminate,
modify or suspend the promotion.
20. Prizes, or any unused portion of a prize, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be
taken as cash. The prizes must be taken as described and no compensation will be payable if
a winner is unable to use the prize as described.
AWARD OF PRIZE
21. Entries will be judged by an internal panel at Melbourne Food and Wine Limited head office,
at 163 Commercial Road, South Yarra, on Monday 7th March 2016 based on creativity and
content of the answer to the question ?Tell us in 25 words or less why you want to go to
South Africa?.
22. The winner will be notified by phone within two (2) business days of the draw.
23. The winner will have their details published on social media and

24. If there are any unclaimed or un-awarded prizes a prize draw will be conducted on Thu 7th
April at 163 Commercial Road, South Yarra, VIC 3141. If a winner is drawn they will be
contacted by phone and in writing within two (2) business days and will have their name
published on social media and www.melbournefoodandwine.com.au
GENERAL
25. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants
(including an entrant?s identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole
discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached
any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any
unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of
the promotion. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure
by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of
those rights. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from
such an offender are reserved.
26. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its
sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.
27. Entries will be deemed to be accepted at the time of receipt of the Competition Entry and
not at the time of transmission. Incomplete or incomprehensible entries will be deemed
invalid. If an Entrant's contact details change during the Competition Period, the Entrant
must promptly notify the Promoter of the relevant change. A request to access or modify
any information provided in an entry should be in writing and directed to Promoter.
28. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as
reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter,
including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the
Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law: (a)
to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority,
to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
29. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone
network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment,
software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any
combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participants or any other person's
computer related to or resulting from participation in or down-loading any materials in this
promotion.
30. The Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered, including
but not limited to indirect or consequential loss, or for personal injury suffered or sustained
during the course of accepting or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be
excluded by law.
31. Any tax liability arising as a result of accepting any prize is the responsibility of the winner.
32. All entries become the sole property of the Promoter.
33. All information Entrants provide information which will be used by the Promoter for the
purpose of conducting this Promotion and may be entered into a database and the
Promoter, the Promoter?s related entities, agencies engaged by the Promoter, or any other
third party nominated by the Promoter, for the Promoter?s current and future promotional
and marketing purposes without further reference or compensation to them.
34. The Promoter may disclose Entrants? Personal Information to its contractors and agents to
assist in conducting this Promotion and as required, to Australian regulatory authorities.
35. Entrants can request access to update or correct their Personal Information held by the
Promoter and may request that they not receive further Promotional or marketing
communications from the Promoter by contacting the Promoter at the address above.
Should an Entrant?s contact details change during the Promotion Period, it is the Entrant?s
responsibility to notify the Promoter. All Personal Information will be securely stored by the
Promoter.
