To celebrate the return of QSOCurrent for 2016, two lucky readers of The Weekend Edition have the chance to win a QSOCurrent Passport for two people, including tickets to all four performances, valued at $160 each.
QSO returns with another eclectic program of genre-busting beauties and off-the-wall beats from Friday April 29 to Saturday April 30. The two-day program will feature three world premieres performed by the absolute flag-bearers of sound creation. Internationally acclaimed beatboxer Tom Thum (Artist-in-Residence for QSOCurrent 2016) leads the line-up, which reads of new music’s most wanted – one of the world’s most renowned audio-visual artists Sampology; the acclaimed Australian new-music ensemble Kupka’s Piano; popular saxophonist, jazz aficionado and composer Rafael Karlen; and cross-disciplinary artists Argo; along with some of the most exciting music makers in the country.
This musical cocktail is shaken and stirred by the Queensland Symphony Orchestra. It’s a potent, brave concoction that promises extraordinary music.
