Robert Gordon have been making pottery since 1945 and it’s been a family affair ever since. Head designer Kate Gordon remembers growing up with pottery in their backyard and the early mornings at St Kilda markets where her and her siblings would be dragged along to watch their mum and dad sell their wares. Kate, whose been working in the factory since she was 15 years old reckons, “pottery is in their blood”.
