1. Competition and Promoter
1.1. By entering the ‘Custom Plates 2020 Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix’ and in consideration for the opportunity to participate in the Competition, each entrant agrees to be bound by and observe these Conditions of Entry. Information on how to enter and prize details form part of these Conditions of Entry.
1.2. The Promoter of the Competition is the Victorian Department of Transport and Roads Corporation trading as VicRoads ABN 61 760 960 480 of 60 Denmark Street, Kew, Victoria, 3101 (Promoter).
1. Competition and Promoter
1.1. By entering the ‘Custom Plates 2020 Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix’ and in consideration for the opportunity to participate in the Competition, each entrant agrees to be bound by and observe these Conditions of Entry. Information on how to enter and prize details form part of these Conditions of Entry.
1.2. The Promoter of the Competition is the Victorian Department of Transport and Roads Corporation trading as VicRoads ABN 61 760 960 480 of 60 Denmark Street, Kew, Victoria, 3101 (Promoter).
2. Who may enter?2.1. Subject to paragraph 2.2, entry into the Competition is open to all residents of Victoria aged 18 and over.
2.2. Employees (and immediate family members of employees) of the Promoter and its associated agencies are not eligible to enter the Competition.
2.3. The Promoter will not accept any joint entry.
3. Competition Period
3.1. The Competition commences at 9.00am Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) on Monday 17th February 2020 and closes at 11:59pm AEST on Monday 2nd March 2020 (Competition Period).
3.2. Entries not received during the Competition Period or not completed in accordance with these Conditions of Entry will not be eligible to win. Entries are deemed to be received at the time they are received by the Promoter’s Competition Webpage entry form and not at the time of submission by the Entrant. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible, corrupted or misdirected entries, whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, deletion, theft, destruction, transmission interruption, communications failure or otherwise.
4. How to enter
4.1. By entering the Competition entrants agree to the Competition Terms & Conditions. Entry into this Competition is only available by going to the Competition Webpage, https://vplates.com.au/competitions/2020-Formula-1-Rolex-Australian-Grand-Prix-Competition, entering your details and answering a question in the required form and submitting your entry.
4.2. Entries are required to go to the competition website https://vplates.com.au/competitions/2020-Formula-1-Rolex-Australian-Grand-Prix-Competition and answer the competition question “Tell us in 25 words or less what your favourite way to accessorise your ride is and why?”
5. Prize and notification
5.1. At the end of the Competition Period, all entries will be judged by the Promoter and one entry will be declared the winner.
5.2. Judging will be conducted by the Promoter on Wednesday 4th March 2020 at 60 Denmark Street, Kew, Victoria, 3101. The winning entry will be the one judged by the Promoter to be the most creative answer to the question “Tell us in 25 words or less what your favourite way to accessorise your ride is and why?”
5.3. The entry deemed the winner by the Promoter in accordance with these Conditions of Entry will win two (2) 4-day tickets to the Fangio Grand Stand at the 2020 Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix (12-15 March 2020), which includes two (2) pit lane walk passes and one (1) guided Paddock Tour for two people, valued at $1,870.00
5.4. The Promoter’s decision in relation to any and all aspects of the Promotion is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
5.5. The prize winner will be notified by email or phone call (as they supplied as part of the competition entry form) on Thursday 5th March 2020.
5.6. In the event that the winner judged by the Promoter is not contactable by the Promoter, or the winner does not respond to the notification that he or she has won the competition or provide an address for written notification by 3:00pm AEST Monday 9th March 2020, the Promoter reserves the right to award the prize to the next best judged entry submitted.
5.7. The prizes are supplied by the 2020 Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix Organiser.
5.8. In accepting the prize, the winner agrees that the Promoter is not involved in supplying or delivering the prize at the Event and therefore has no obligation or duty to the prize winner in relation to the prize.
5.9. The maximum total prize value is AU$1,870.00
5.10. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prize. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable. The prize is not redeemable for cash and must be taken as offered.
5.11. In the event that the prize is not available, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Where the prize is substituted the Promoter will use reasonable endeavours to provide a substitute prize to the satisfaction of the winner.
6. Information for Prize Winner
6.1. All entrants agree to provide the Promoter with identification and/or proof of age if selected as a prize winner. The form of identification and/or proof of age are at the discretion of the Promoter.
6.2. The winners agree to comply with these Conditions of Entry, the Attendance Conditions to the Event available at http://www.grandprix.com.au and displayed at entrances to the Event.
6.3. WARNING – MOTOR RACING, THE EVENT AND ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATED WITH THE EVENT (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, SUPPORT EVENTS) ARE DANGEROUS AND ACCIDENTS CAN HAPPEN. THERE IS A POSSIBILITY OF AN ACCIDENT CAUSING INJURY, DEATH OR PROPERTY DAMAGE OR ECONOMIC LOSS.
6.4. Spending money, meals and all other ancillary costs incurred as a result of taking the prize (including, without limitation, transport to and from the Event, airline and/or airport taxes and transfers, where applicable) are not included and remain the responsibility of the winners. All elements of the must be taken to coincide with the Event and any element not taken at the time(s) stipulated will be taken to be forfeited.
6.5. The Associated Entities will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) by any person in connection with this promotion or accepting or using a prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).
6.6. Associated Entities means the Crown in right of the State of Victoria, the Minister administering the Australian Grands Prix Act 1994 (Vic), the Minister administering the Crown Land (Reserves) Act 1978 (Vic), Federation Internationale de l’Automobile, Formula One Marketing Limited, Formula One Management Limited, Formula One World Championship Limited, Formula One Asset Management Limited, Formula One Hospitality and Event Services Limited (UK), Formula One Licensing B.V., Confederation of Australian Motor Sport Ltd, Allsport Management S.A., Parks Victoria, the State Sport Centres Trust, APP Corporation Pty Limited and all other persons involved in the conduct, promotion and organisation of the Activity and the Australian Grand Prix, including officials, marshals, rescue, medical staff, the competitors and drivers (such parties to include where relevant all directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors and affiliated companies and their respective personnel, and assigns).
“Suppliers” also includes suppliers of infrastructure and other equipment used to enable the event and the Activity to take place, as well as sponsors of the event and the Activity.
7. Consent to collection and use of Personal Details
7.1 By entering the Competition and supplying the details as required on the entry form the Entrant agrees to the Promoter collecting and using his/her personal information for the purposes of contacting the Entrant about Custom Plates and any marketing or programs associated with Custom Plates.
